Nozomi Ishihara (石原希望): The "Two Months Only" Debut That Became a Top MOODYZ Exclusive

Nozomi Ishihara’s career is the modern version of “I was only staying for two months.” A Kagawa graduate who entered the industry as a stopgap before her arranged corporate job, watched a five-studio debut go to #1, and abandoned the job to stay. Four years later she is a MOODYZ exclusive ranked in the top ten of the annual chart and known as the generation’s “variety queen.”

The short version

2020: the five-studio debut and the abandoned job

Ishihara graduated from a vocational school in Kagawa with a corporate job arranged. Her plan for the AV industry was explicit: two months, then the job. She debuted in June 2020 in a five-studio simultaneous debut.

The debut went to #1 on FANZA sales charts in the same month. Two things then changed the plan: the pandemic made her arranged industry uncertain, and the AV response was strong enough that she could see a career. She turned down the job and stayed.

November 2020: MOODYZ exclusive

She became a MOODYZ exclusive in November 2020, after the filmed five-studio work had been released. The first-year record:

• July 2020 — #1, FANZA monthly individual ranking
• 2020 — FANZA annual ranking #7
• December 2021 — Asagei AV Award Grand Prize

2021–2024: the “variety queen”

From 2021 the non-AV work built up, which is where the “variety queen” nickname came from:

• 2021–2024 — assistant MC on TV Saitama’s Beach 9 (about three years)
• September 2023 — starred as Shinono Chiho in the live-action Karami-zakari series (dyeing her hair blonde for the role)
• October 2024 — joined the music group Mi LUNA
• December 2024 — FLASH sexy-actress ranking #8

2026: the sixth anniversary

In June 2026 she held a sixth-anniversary music live. Her YouTube channel “Nozo-chan” has over 80,000 subscribers and nearly 10 million views. She remains a MOODYZ exclusive, six years in.

What this career means

The stopgap that became the career. Ishihara’s own telling — two months, then the job — is the industry’s most common entry story, and hers is the version that shows how far it can go when the debut lands. The pandemic did not cause the decision; the #1 debut did. Against the planned careers on this site, hers is the one that happened by accident and kept working.
